Llangunllo 80th D-Day Anniversary

The 80th Anniversary of the D-Day will start with the raising of the D-Day flag at the Cenotaph in Llangunllo village square at 8:00 am on the morning of Thursday, June 6th. A beacon will be lit on the Wimble and will run for a week.
Saturday, June 9th at Llangunllo Community Hall there will be a film and unveiling of a portrait. Please bring a plate of food to share. Tea and Coffee are provided but bring your own bottle.
There will be a display and if anyone has memorabilia or flags to add, please do. We would like assistance on the night before setting up tables at 6:00 pm so if you can help, please come along.
Anyone wishing to share poetry, songs or stories is most welcome.
