Radnorshire Standard: Wednesday 27th July 1898

LLANGUNLLO.

Farmers are all wearing pleasant faces just now. The crops of Hay have been immense and are well in hand. The outlook in other respects is most favourable. The Schools close this week for the summer vacation and the scholars will be away to the neighbouring hills, getting pleasure and profit in seeking the berries for which those heights are famous.

SUMMER EXCURSION.

The Choir and Sunday School in connection with the Parish Church visited Llandrindod Wells on Friday for their annual outing. The trip was a success notwithstanding the thunderstorm that burst over the town in the afternoon. Ample provision had been made for the comfort of the party and about 110 sat down to tea.
