Once again, items were donated and collected, vehicles loaded and Llangunllo helpers at hand, as the Friends of St Cynllo’s Church headed to the Cefnllys School Charity Shop in Llandrindod Wells.
The shop, run by the Friends from 22nd to 29th June, enjoyed a week of brisk trade with well stocked shelves and plenty of customers. A variety of clothes filled the rails, with accessories to compliment, and household goods, toys, books and bric- a- brac were all present, the latter always a best seller.
When the time came to shut up shop an excellent sum of money had been raised and Friend’s funds well and truly boosted. The Friends support St Cynllo’s Church with fund raising and social events and this is greatly appreciated by church members and the wider community.
Thanks to everyone who donated, helped and supported us, with a special “thank you” to Dorothy Jones who organised and coordinated this very successful event.
