At very short notice, an extra week was added to the fundraiser booked at the Llandrindod, Cefnllys School Community Charity Shop.
The joint venture between Llangunllo Community Hall and The Friends of St Cynllo’s Church, swung into action, as volunteers pulled out all the stops to be able to open up the fully stocked shop in just a couple of days.
Meeting on Monday evening, a human conveyor belt of helpers handled all the goods along the line, into a packed, stock box and various other vehicles, to transfer and set up the shop, ready to open on Tuesday. Trade was brisk during the two weeks, with the many volunteers sorting, displaying, tidying and selling the great quality goods already held and further donations brought in by generous customers.
A huge thank you to all involved, for working hard together as a team to raise the brilliant, final sum, by the close of business and clear out on Saturday 26th, benefiting two great causes within the village.
