As the final part of our 100 years celebrations, members invited guests and our community to an afternoon tea in the village hall. Those who joined us enjoyed tucking into a selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones and cream and a good cup of tea. Kath Poole one of our members made and decorated a celebration cake that was admired by all, and it definitely tasted as good as it looked.
Members gave their 1920’s outfits a final airing for the event, and I’m sure it will be with a sense of sadness as they hang them up in the wardrobe now all of the events have come to an end, mind you, I think they all secretly enjoyed dressing up for our celebrations.
