During the final throws of the heatwave on Sunday, August 14th, an afternoon of live music was billed at The Greyhound Inn. The Bad Dogs and Wintersound were due to appear from 3:30 pm until 6:00 pm. Unfortunately, the bass guitar player with The Bad Dogs was taken ill which meant the band were unable to perform.
The excellent Wintersound stepped up to perform as the main act while locals Debbie and Trevor Jones filled in as a support act. It all worked well, with live music being played for nearly four hours. People danced merrily to the songs and were able to enjoy a bbq that was manned by Phil Price and Richard Lloyd. Many thanks to Jonathan Miller for the excellent sound production and to Paul Hardware and the bar staff for the hospitality at the Greyhound Inn. Photos by Charles Kightly.
