A glorious Spring morning in Llangunllo set the scene for the much anticipated West Coast Steam train travelling from Lime Street Station, Liverpool to Swansea on the scenic Heart of Wales line. Llangunllo, of course, is one of the stations fortunate to be on this line although todays train was not stopping here. However, a couple of Llangunllo residents did capture the splendid sight of The Great Britain XVI 44871 together with The Lancashire Fusilier 45407 pulling the many maroon carriages from days gone by passing through the beautiful mid-Wales countryside here. Many thanks to Rebecca Twyman and Andrew Middleton for capturing this rare occasion.
