The weather wasn’t at its best for this years Rounders Match although the rain held off for most of the time during the game. As always, teams were chosen from competitors of all ages. The crowd was supportive and included a field of sheep overlooking the activities that seemed to enjoy it. Everyone met outside the Greyhound Inn at 12:30 pm before making their way to the playing field, kindly donated for the day by Haydn Jones.
The games finished around 3:30 pm when most people moved over to the Greyhound Inn for the outdoor ‘open-mic‘ event which was just starting. All went well until the weather decided to interrupt and the proceedings were halted.
A BBQ run by Richard Lloyd and Phil Price kept most appetites satisfied and the day was concluded with a raffle with many donated prizes.
All monies raised (£400 a superb effort) will go to the Welsh Air Ambulance. Many thanks to everyone who helped organise the days events and everyone who came along to support.
