Radnorshire Scholars TAKE DEGREES.
The Higher Education, Sub-Committee of Radnorshire have renewed the grants to nine bursars. and awarded grants to two new applicants. In one case the application for a. bursar’s grant was refused as the .applicant not entering the teaching profession, (but had accepted an appointment as clerk to a surveyor of taxes Mrs Rogers (chairman) thought they should send a message of congratulation to Miss Frances M. Griffiths, Knighton, who was the only one out of nine .giris who went up for the B.A. degree to take it with first-class honours in English. Miss Marie Morgan. Llangunllo had also done extremely well, taking the degree with third-class honours in French. It was decided to .grant the county exhibition scholarship for the fourth year in these two cases. and Mr Bache felt ‘that Radnorshire should be proud of these two girls, and also of those who had done well in the past. The boys seemed to ‘be a bit backward.
