HEREFORD TIMES SATURDAY 17TH JANUARY 1863
Mr Green PRICE expressed hope that the constable would be posted at Llangunllo, where he was most needed and where a vast portion of the population was employed in railway making. They were in an unsafe state and as he had been written to on the subject, he stated the matter to the open Court.
The Chief Constable said that in consequence of representations made to him by Mr Green Price and the Rector he had addressed a letter to the Chairman of the Bleddfa Petty Sessions, calling his attention to the fact, and hoping the contractor of the railway would make arrangements for the support of a police-constable in that district.
The Chairman said the contractor of the Mid-Wales had taken very proper steps, and he hoped the contractor of Central Wales would follow his example.
