On Mothering Sunday, members of the community attended the service at St Cynllo’s to say, “thank you” to and think about Mum’s past and present.
The theme was, “Mary the mother of Jesus,” and the readings, hymns, particularly “Tell Out My Soul” based on the Magnificat, and prayers reflected this, while also appreciating, the role of our mothers in general.
The children were busy making cards, insert with a daffodil; singing and doing the actions to “Mummy’s love is very wonderful” and then distributing the cards to all the ladies in the congregation.
A lovely Family Service was followed by refreshments and chat, with children’s laughter echoing around the building.
