The service in May was Evening Prayer and as a community, we remembered and paid tribute to Bob Williams.
Bob will be greatly missed by all. He was Church Warden at St Cynllo’s for a number of years and a true community man. He also served as Warden of the Beacon Hill Benefice.
The service, led by Pam Livingstone – Law, was well attended with Bob’s daughter and son-in-law joining us. With the appropriate readings of the day and tributes given, hymns included “Morning Has Broken” a favourite of Bob’s and “Dear Lord and Father of Mankind” as sung at his funeral service in April. The service concluded with a music tribute played on the trombone by Trevor Head and a donation will be given to St Michael’s Hospice in Bob’s memory.
Following the service, refreshments were served and those present shared their own special memories of him.
