On Saturday 4th May, the day that Spring finally arrived, Llangunllo Community Wildlife Garden came alive with the Big River Watch. Kick sampling revealed fascinating invertebrate life lurking in the Lugg, new water monitor volunteers came forward and tales of local otter and curlew sightings were swapped.
If you missed it you might still catch the “Look after the Lugg” pop up exhibition in the telephone box: stop for a drink at the Greyhound, take some time to pop into the pop-up and enjoy a quiet moment by the Lugg in the Wildlife Garden. And keep an eye out for more river-based activity during the WI’s week of river action from 16-22 September.
