The inaugural Llangunllo Tractor Run took place on the morning of Sunday, 18th September. Over 60 tractors met at Lea Hall around 9:00 am, together with a good-sized crowd. A lovely September morning, ideal for a ride in the beautiful Radnorshire countryside, there were bacon buns with hot or cold refreshments available provided by Llangunllo Community Hall.
The tractors and their drivers set off from Lea Hall around 10:30 am for a 30-mile trip through some of the best scenery in the country! There were many types of tractors, from small vintage ones to the bigger modern sort complete with heated cabs. After some five hours of meandering around the local area, the first tractors started arriving back at the Great House in Llangunllo where the drivers and their passengers were supplied with a hearty lunch at the Llangunllo Community Hall.
It proved to be a very successful day all around for both the community hall and the Air Ambulance. Although this was the first tractor run from Llangunllo, I’m sure it won’t be the last.
