Visitors to Llangunllo village hall were able to enjoy an early Easter treat, when the ladies of Llangunllo WI provided their annual community lunch on Wednesday, April 5th. Everyone was soon seated and the room was filled with chatter as the delicious first course was served; a hearty and flavoursome cottage pie, with vegetables & gravy, or a vegetarian alternative. The perfect, sweet accompaniment followed; meringue nests, smothered in forest fruit, berries & cream. It was all topped off with miniature chocolate eggs and tea or coffee. Wine and soft drinks were also available and all attendees were gifted with the chance to win a super, Easter hamper in the raffle.
During her welcome, President, Karen Edgar, asked for a toast to be raised in remembrance of three Llangunllo residents: Bob Williams, Ron Wicks & Sally Vaughan, who had all, sadly, passed away recently.
