The Community Carol service was held in St Cynllo’s Church on Christmas Eve. The church, this year decorated in green, white and silver was full and traditional carols, with the readings of the Christmas Story, enjoyed by the congregation.
Being a family service, the children played a central part, first lighting the candles on the Advent Wreath and then presenting the Nativity Tableaux in costume.
Menna played the harp and sang “Mary’s Boy Child” and the children, helped by mums, joined in as all gathered around the crib.
Menna and Caroline also sang “In the Bleak Mid -Winter” and George, our organist, entertained with a “European Tour of Carols.”
After the service seasonal refreshments were served, including a glass of fizz, to wish all “Merry Christmas.”
