Show Time!
Community Concert full of Camaraderie and Energy!
Audiences packed Llangunllo Village Hall for three evenings on the 14th, 15th and 16th November for the long-awaited “Time for another Do!” A team of dedicated performers and highly capable stage crew presented a show that provided much needed light entertainment relief at this cold, dark time of year.
There were many stand out performers, skits, songs and sketches that will doubtlessly be fondly recalled in time to come and the evening blended the efforts of Llangunllo’s much-loved stalwarts with the impressive talents of relative newcomers to the area.
To anyone who hasn’t experienced a Llangunllo concert (the last one was nearly seven years ago,) it’s no mean feat to bring together excellent music, comedy that (almost!) suits all ages and tastes, witty re imaginings of well- known songs and inventive drama but that’s exactly what we were treated to. The evening opened with a gentle reminder of those much loved and missed’ am dram’ volunteers who are sadly no longer with us and engaged us wholly for nearly three hours – not bad value for money!
Bravo, congratulations and a huge round of applause to musical director Katie Baker and every member of cast and crew that pulled out all the stops to bring us a right good ‘Do!’
