Members gathered together for our first meeting of 2026 at the home of Di who kindly hosted the afternoon. Following our business meeting and an update on how our 2026/27 programme was shaping up, a lively discussion of the 2026 Resolutions took place, with some members sharing personal experiences in relation to them. A further meeting was offered by the president for those members unable to attend, and for those who had attended to discuss the Resolutions further.
As usual we settled into lots of chat catching up on what members had done over the festive period, the recent bad weather and the impact it had in the village all whilst we enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea. Suitably nourished we then got ready for a fun activity. Members had been asked to bring a childhood photo of themselves, which were laid out for members to guess the identity. As you can imagine they sparked lots of discussion, laughs and memories of growing up in very different times. Did we get the matching right, well some of us did.
We all agreed it had been a lovely way to spend a cold winter afternoon.
Our next meeting is on February 4th 2.00pm where we will be learning hot wax painting, should be fun.
