What a beautiful August day it was in Llangunllo on Saturday, August 16th. It’s a lovely day every day in Llangunllo, but, today was the Llangunllo Show. The sun was shining and the crowds attended. The Tractors started arriving around 9:00 am to register for their run around some of the most beautiful countryside Wales has to offer. They left just after 10:00 am, meandering the country lanes before a much needed lunchtime break at Coco’s Farm.
Meanwhile, the competition horses and their riders arrived and started their events, which went on throughout much of the afternoon. Riders and horses were put through their paces with a variety of age groups all taking part. There were 2 rings with seven events in each one.
At 12.30 pm the dog show commenced, with a large variety of breeds attending and entering 9 different classes, finishing with Best In Show.

No picture of Best in Show at the dog show?
There were 100s of photographs taken by our volunteers and it is difficult to capture everything, with the best intentions.
I took a photo from afar, during the presentations, which is possibly the ’Best In Show’ cup being accepted. It is also possible that Jen, from Be Brilliant Dogs, who ran the Dog Show may also have one. Photos are still being sent through from various sources & it is a huge undertaking to collate everything onto the website immediately. Is the dog a black & white Border Collie?
Yes, that’s the one. The dog’s owner (not me) would love a copy, especially of the cup presentation, &/or any others, when available.
